Privacy Policy
PlanTape keeps everything on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. We — Lakeborne Labs — operate no backend and have no technical ability to receive, see, or store your blueprints, measurements, or any other data. This policy explains that in full.
What we collect
Nothing. PlanTape does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. It contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.
What stays on your device
Everything you do in PlanTape is stored only in the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad:
- PDF blueprints you open or import
- Measurements, calibration, polygons, and annotations you create
- App settings and preferences
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it (see below). If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.
When you share or export
When you use the iOS share sheet to export a flattened PDF or image, that file goes wherever you direct it — Mail, Messages, Files, AirDrop, or another app of your choosing. From that point the data is handled by iOS and the destination you picked, under their terms, not ours. PlanTape does not transmit anything on its own.
Device backups and iCloud
PlanTape does not sync to any cloud and has no server-side storage. If you have enabled Apple's device-level iCloud Backup or iCloud Drive, your PlanTape files may be included in that backup as part of your normal iOS backup. That is your own Apple iCloud storage, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and is never accessible to us.
Beta testing via TestFlight
While PlanTape is distributed through Apple TestFlight, Apple may collect crash logs and basic usage information and provide it to us in aggregate to improve the app. That collection is performed by Apple, not by PlanTape, and is governed byApple's TestFlight and App Store terms and Apple's Privacy Policy. PlanTape itself adds no additional tracking.
Children's privacy
PlanTape is a professional tool not directed at children, and it collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this same address. Material changes will be reflected before they take effect.
